Liz Earle| Sheer Skin Tint

I recently purchased the Liz Earle ‘August Skincare Essentials Regime’ and was utterly blown away!

This Kit includes;
-Cleanse & Polish Hot Cloth Cleanser 100ml pump and two muslin cloths
-Instant Boost Skin Tonic 200ml bottle
-Your choice of moisturiser - (I chose the ‘Skin Repair Light moisturiser – combination/oily 50ml pump’
- A free full size ‘Sheer Skin Tint 40ml tube’
(The package also comes with free posting in the UK)

I was so excited to try out this range of products as I’d read so many brilliant blog reviews all raving about this skincare range.

My package arrived so quickly, in fact only 2 days after I placed my order. The items were beautifully wrapped in delicate tissue paper, I thought this was lovely and it really made my morning! (I actually emailed the Liz Earle Head Office to express how great I thought this was…geek, I know!)

The package was so thoughtfully put together, not only with my complimentary skin tint but with extra mini samples, a travel size Cleanser & an extra Muslin cloth for my Hot Cloth Cleanser.

I will do a full review on these products later in the week, once I get to know them a bit better – but so far I am LOVING them!

Today, I wanted to give my opinion on the ‘Sheer Skin Tint.’

I chose this tint in the fairest shade (Bare 01) -which is quite pale, but I definitely wouldn’t go for a darker shade.
I struggle with combination skin, which gets really oily around my chin and nose, for this reason I usually opt for a matte finish foundation, so originally I was quite sceptical about this tint which prides itself on creating a ‘dewy look.’

I expected this product to be like a tinted moisturiser however, it has a much more creamy and thick consistency, which gives a fairly good coverage (I’d say light/medium)

I allowed time for the product to sink into the skin, and I set it with a loose powder.
The effect leaves your face looking natural and if you have an uneven skin tone this would be the perfect solution! I often have days when I don’t feel like covering my face with a think foundation, so this is great for those days, as it’s quite light and still gives you the confidence of a fresh and clear face.

The tint is very dewy and catches the light in quite a lovely way, especially on your cheekbones and places where light would naturally hit.

I would definitely recommend this product, I find it perfect for the ‘non – make up’ type days! After a few hours I find that it ‘slides’ around a bit, though this may just be because of my oily skin type! However I will definitely be re purchasing this once my supply has come to the end of its life!
